I followed my son off the field today after a heartbreaking, emotional loss…I watched him go over to a youngster holding a ball and a pen. Signed his ball and talked to him for a minute…made the little guy’s day. That’s character in my book. Proud dad.

High school players: when speaking to colleges about scholarships, don’t forget to ask what the total cost to attend is. A $20k scholarship to a $60k a year school is a lot less valuable than $5k to a $20k a year school!!!! Don’t bury yourself with loans!.

Our guys battled to the very end…hats off to Rocky. Last game of the year always tears me up. So many special kids I won’t get to work with again…lots of tears tonight so I’ll share a few pics from happier nights!I hope the boys always know how much I appreciate them!

When you are a high school football coach who has preached the importance of the weight room for years you and get a text that a former player off at college sets 3 PR’s in preseason testing. it’s a great day. When that player is also your own son, the smile will last all day!!.

So happy to report a RECORD number of players in our high school program this year. About 180 players including 73 freshmen. High school football is indeed alive and well in North Idaho!!.

Random fact: nearly everything people told me about Butte Montana in the past was incorrect. What an amazing city. I could easily live here. I will never stop coming back. Butte is a blessing in our lives!.
