Dawn Staley offered me a scholarship my senior year. She had no idea who I was initially but the game she seen me in left her intrigued. She was there to recruit my teammate Briyona Canty, a freshman.

again the best player in the state of NJ my junior and senior year and nobody knew who I was. I was still overlooked, unappreciated and the underdog but I ended up playing at the Univ. Of South Carolina for Dawn Staley, Nikki McCray and Lisa Boyer.

So practice good habits, be intentional about what type of player you want to be. Don’t allow your trainer to have you working on what they want you to be able to do. Start with what you need immediately. Weakness always get exposed against competition.

Woke up feeling really grateful and proud of Gianna Johnson, class of 2024. Met this kid a year ago and everyone had given up on her. “She wasn’t ready.She was too slow. Too clumsy. Couldn’t catch the ball. We worked all summer and season long on developing her skill sets.
