Adi and his family live not far down the road from our Israel team in the Golan Heights and are longtime friends of our neighbors. As unlikely as it is, Adi and his friend were both at Bourbon St for New Year’s Eve, and were struck head-on by the ISIS-allegiant who drove the F-150 straight into the crowd. They were both dragged under the truck and received several injuries; in addition to many broken bones and shattered limbs, Adi’s artery was so damaged that blood clots formed in his brain. Doctors prioritized brain surgery to save his life, and he has been in the hospital ever since. We want to invite you to give to Adi’s GoFundMe campaign; it goes directly to his family (with whom we have had many conversations). This will help address immediate needs (travel, lodging), a medical flight back to Israel in a few months once he is cleared, as well as long-term needs as he begins the long and arduous path to recovery. And you can imagine the hospital bills. Thank you for taking the time to read Adi’s story. Please pray for his health and recovery as his injuries remain severe. You can give HERE:

Adi and his family live not far down the road from our Israel team in the Golan Heights and are longtime friends of our neighbors (you’ve met David in THE PORCH PODCAST). Adi finished his mandatory IDF service six months before Oct. 7th, and was then pulled back into reserves to defend his country. After a year of fighting, he took advantage of a break and flew stateside with a friend to clear their heads, travel around, and see life outside of war for a bit. As unlikely as it is, Adi and his friend were both at Bourbon St for New Year’s Eve, standing directly in the path of the ISIS-allegiant who drove the F-150 straight into the crowd, hitting Adi and his friend head-on. As many of you know, our Israel team lives in the Golan Heights. Adi and his family live not far down the road and are longtime friends of our neighbors (you’ve met David in THE PORCH PODCAST). They were both dragged under the truck and received several injuries; in addition to many broken bones and shattered limbs, Adi’s artery was so damaged that blood clots formed in his brain. Doctors prioritized brain surgery to save his life, and he has been in the hospital ever since. It’s hard to imagine the long-term impact and consequences of this attack—the collateral damage will be felt for years. Adi is one example, but because he was abroad, his family took the first last-minute flights they could find to be by his side.
