@donlayman Thanks for explaining. I was looking at NHANES data and found cheese and beef as the top two contributors. Is that where your data are from?

@donlayman Not sure I understand what you mean. I thought meat and cheese were the top sources of saturated fat in the US. Seed oils are relatively low in sat fat. Would you explain what you mean? Thanks!

@mikedisc2 I am talking about the claims made by the authors of the study and the study design itself. Seed oils are sources of omega-6 fats that the body cannot make, so they do play a role in the diet.
