I imagine redoing intimate scenes & lines with a costar will actually mentally break something a little

@_SamuelSandoval @ericmigi argh! Now I CAN see the parent comment. You were saying Mono is king. I do agree. I like that colour shows which app is notifying you. But that's the sum total. Watchface selection becomes all about mitigation of low contrast on the colour models.

@legyes @ericmigi This isn't the Kickstarter thing with a medium sized rolling company though it's small. If chip is more modern, screen is high contrast and case won't break that's brilliant already

@Seattleyachts @ericmigi If future allowed for more advanced 2nd model, the PT2 screen SIZE increase is where colour becomes feasibly legible in lots of conditions but when the screen is compact, Mono rules

@LatinoHorror @ericmigi I'm wearing one now but that's like direct sun at optimal angle. In terms of nothing breaking over time I'd agree but legibility OG, Steel,P2 are striking.

@Ether_Beaver @ericmigi @Pebble IMHO it could be a way to have new watches DOA, have colour make them look depressing next to flashy OLED nonsense where Mono screens people get that it's always on and very clean to see.

@_asadmemon @ericmigi Looking back at reviews & friends opinions when Pebble was rolling out new models I'm sure a not insignificant part of initial success was status as leaders in legibility & battery. Bezel plus murky colour on the PT detracts from that & IMHO PTR is peak detraction from that image

@ericmigi Wife & self have been on Pebble since OG became available in Australia & would have P2 except for button wear/accidentally busted front of screen so are on PT and our watch face choices are always in service of mitigating the lower contrast as you can see here

@ericmigi @TheBestBackman I'll be blunt as wife & are massive fans. I upgraded wife from OG to PTR on her Bday back at launch & when she put it on I felt like a deadbeat seeing how comparatively murky the contrast was. However.... She loved the aesthetic of the PTR anyway! 😂 We do like Mono though

@ericmigi So PT2 style vs P2/OG , theoretical PT2 wins out but when screen is same size-ish like PT,PTS the OG, Steel and P2 are superior before price even comes into it
