I just wondered what the difference between L2 networks and EVM compatible @monad_xyz and @berachain. Lets dive in: 1. Integration level with Ethereum. L2 networks (for example, Arbitrum, Optimism or zkSync) are literally built on top of Ethereum. This means that they use the base layer of Ethereum for safety and consensus. L2 aggregate many transactions in their network and periodically record them in the main blockchain (Ethereum) in the form of packages. Ethereum, in turn, guarantees their safety. Monad and Brachain are completely independent blockchains of the first level (L1), which are simply compatible with EVM. this means that they don't depend on Ethereum for their security or consensus functioning. They function as independent ecosystems and have their own validators, consensus mechanisms and tokens (for example we have BERA for transaction payments, BGT for network governance and HONEY as a stablecoin on Berachain). 2. Security mechanism. L2 networks rely on the security of Ethereum. If Ethereum is compromised, L2 will also suffer. L1 networks such as Monad and Berachain have their own consensus mechanisms and validators. For example: Berachain uses Proof-of-liquidity, stimulating users to stake assets to ensure security. Monad focuses on high performance and parallelism without compromises in safety . 3. Independence and economic model. L2 networks don't have complete economic autonomy, since interaction with Ethereum requires gas payment precisely in ETH. The L2 ecosystem inevitably depends on the state of Ethereum. L1-networks, such as Berachain and Monad, are completely independent, and their economic model is spinning around their own tokens. In conclusion to simplify: L2s are โadd-onsโ to Ethereum, created in order to improve its performance, but still under its โumbrellaโ. But EVM compatible blockchains like Monad and Berachain are completely autonomous networks with their own ecosystem that simply remain compatible with Ethereum for the convenience of developers and users. Any questions? โ๏ธ Looks like everything is clear now ๐

@beast_ico Yeah, agree here, the other thing is Pengu that launched, built and developed on Solana all its history. Wtf Doods?

@cooldown_eth maybe, but I am still not expecting more than 20% for all Doodles drop, and 3-5% Dooplicators etc and 5-7% miles. They said multiple times that miles is alpha โ๏ธ

@shanicucic96 @Mintify Quick question, not on the topic: why RAMP X and not Redacted on the icon near nickname? ๐ด

@beaniemaxi @Bitcojner @seedphrase btw the last one I grabbed from NFT sorry, so for the tokens and NOT NFTs there are only 2 real utilities: L1 gas fees payment and staking to get partner drops (that is the pyramid structure in pure view)
