Man that’s a bad beat. This has to solidify this one as the worst contract of all time. I know he’s taken some heat for comments he’s made that came off as dismissive and not caring…but I haven’t known many people to reach a high level of excellence at anything and not care. I get that he’s unfathomably rich and such but seems this is one where a lot of bad things just lined up against him and then it has snowballed.

Nobody knows. Estimates on 89 Griffey are 1-3m (wide range). I think we call all agree the base cards are “junk wax” here. Nut keep in mind there are no parallels and chase cards back then. That’s definitely a huge difference to the sustainability. How much so…time will tell. But that certainly makes a big difference.

I really think SNAP 2025 (our new sweepstakes model for @blokpax) is gonna be wild. We have to be smart with risk management on this sweepstakes because some **wild** shit can happen where there is a theoretical possibility that every entry can be a winner. It’s not as simple as plugging the odds in a spreadsheet and penciling that into a budget…law of large numbers and variance of small ones are 2 very different things! But I really think this will bring a lot of lessons together into one simple and innovative product. It’s only possible with digital ownership and having our own marketplace and economy has the potential to be something quite special. This is going to be a big use case for the currency that should significantly increase the annual utility rate. A long awaited 3.9% transaction fee is coming (not as profit but rather to fuel the reward pool and be a major lever towards our goal of a balanced budget after 3 years…I think we will succeed at that goal).
