Made a pilgrimage to the last original

in our area before its closing. Got to see Heather who I helped hire when this store opened and Shawn who I connected more recently on social. Sad to see these style of stores go. 🥺
Watched Walt Disney's the Mad Doctor Mickey Mouse short for the first time yesterday. Amazed at this hallway scene. Like how was this done in the 1930s before the aid of computers?!
This post goes out to those that have old Disney VHS tapes taking up storage space. I feel your pain.
Unfortunately this is just a fraction of them... WHY AM I KEEPING THEM?!
Sadly, as of next week, the Disney Stores as we have known growing up will be no more.
I believe just over a dozen Disney Outlets and the NYC Store will remain open for a while but are rumored to close next year.
Every time we are in Burbank, we drive by the local movie studio lots. And for a long, while we would look forward to seeing what Warner Bothers would have on the side of this building. Anyone have a shot of what it currently looks like?

Felt compelled to share this collage of Disney Parks global castles sketched by Disney Artist Eric Robison shared on his IG feed.
Have always appreciated his work.
Sending you all the intro from my 2002 VHS recording of Travel Channel's - Disney's Imagineers
... who create, "spine-tingling thrill rides and mind-boggling attractions that delight, thrill, and terrify the entire world."🤩🤯
Would you be okay with more Disneyland attractions being sponsored (aka. It’s a Small World presented by Travelocity) if you knew the ride would be in tip top shape? Or do you think it should be in its best shape because that’s just what Disney standards should be?
OMG! Our friend just watched the most amazing fireworks and drone show for

It truly brought tears to my eyes.
Just awesome! 🤩
To those joining us, welcome aboard! The next leg of our journey will take us along the rim of the Grand Canyon. It’s a mighty long drop to the canyon floor, so for your safety, stay seated with your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the train.

When asked about what he will be doing “after” COVID?:
He’s living in the current moment and embracing all the good and bad days with his family. Not “worrying” about what might happen.

Came across these panoramas I took at a mid-90’s “Piperail” style Disney Store here in CA. I miss these older store designs. It felt more like you were visiting the parks.
At my friend's house and discovering she has an actual menu from the now-gone The Monorail Cafe 🚝 from the

Hotel.
What would you like to have?
Of course, it should go without saying that I would LOVE these to come back.
Chapek saw that theses came to an end. My hopes that Iger brings them back.

Looking through old 8MM family movies: So, apparently my family attended the

The other day, I was trying to find my Disneyland Forever CDs (

What song is your first play off the Disney Afternoon CD?
(I also have this on a cassette!)
Some views of Christmas time at

from the hub in 1993.
Love how they used to have trees in Castle moat and seeing the People Movers and Rocket-Jets in Tomorrowland.
Remember when they had the Disney Gallery above Pirates and had great exhibits like this one in that one space / room across the courtyard?
This one was of original artwork for Disney Little Golden Books

Did anyone ever get one of these gigantic, over-sized, Mickey and Minnie krispy treats at

?
And did people only buy one of these on the way out of the Magic Kingdom?

We're coming up on the 20th anniversary of when they turned the banks of

Anyone remember seeing this?

Of the toys, I picked up the Sun Wheel and California Screamin’. Did y'all pick up any of them?
This was probably the first store in the mall that really captured my attention with a themed concept - in the late 1980s.
Coincidentally, I ended up working with the VP of the original Banana Republic Stores at another company. He had some fun stories to tell.
