If looks are important, use pocket screws, which go on the inside of the angle. This is like 10 times the effort and won't be as nice. Maybe if it's all you have.

@CanadianGrayMan @McDonaldsCanada This has been my experience for my eldest as well, for the past 2 summers. Not just McDs but other fast food places. Places some of us worked as kids. The LMIA and TFW programs abuse everyone and makes many recentful. I will never forget or forgive.

@Charleswsgc579 you realize quickly that those FRS radios.... half a watt with a tiny antenna (that is not changeable, and it's on purpose) on 70cm is pretty weak. Great if you are talking to someone at the end of the street. With a HT, halfwave antenna with 0.5W on 2M you can do wonders.

@VE5REV last time I tried the Rybakov (over 1yr ago?) I had issues with a 4:1 BALun. Really needed an unun to work properly. I added a choke closer to antenna switch. Looks good!

@bettybloodclot When Roxham road was open, I joked to a lawyer friend who knew better - we should go to home depot, get some 2x4s, hammer and nails,and put up some fencing, and fix the leak. He said I would be arrested. The Gov punishes people wanting to do the right thing.

@HB9VQQ WB6BYU gives a good comparison between 1/4verts and the mythical 5/8. It's also about height My Sirio vector 4000 10M ant (3/4w), performs better at (bottom) 10ft frm ground than ~40m horizontal loop @ 25' (loop usually outperforms every band specific ant)
