Twin Cities based actor. 2016 elections activated me here on Twitter. Came to listen to/amplify the heart of the Democratic Party, Black Women. (He/Him/His)
In my lifetime, we have never given Democrats long enough to keep momentum going. We get big things done and then get punished. Let’s not fall for it this time. Let’s keep the ball rolling.
We never get to hear from the majority of Democrats who went from Obama right through to Clinton, and then to Biden, and will be unflinchingly, without hesitation, voting for Biden again in the media.
I made a conscious effort to follow Black Women on here after 2016. It's evident that they KNOW this country better than anyone. And thanks to them, I knew who Van Jones was a long time ago. I'd probably still be signed up for his LoveArmy nonsense if I hadn't been listening.
Hillary Clinton slander will not be tolerated as we ready to hear her address us again with the coming DNC. Know that she did not let us down. It was quite the other way around. And you will not speak ill of her. There is no Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris w/o HRC.
We saw and felt what people did to Hillary Clinton. Many of us felt we should have done more. Another reason we won’t let people do the same thing to Vice-President Kamala Harris.
Did I miss the memo where this website is just where we workshop new ways to blame Democrats for shit, while Republicans, who have all the power and responsibility, are conspicuously absent at this moment in history?
The media went out of its way to maintain a perceived neutrality with the last administration. And now, all of the sudden, they have found the ability to pass moral judgments on a President.
He’s tanking it BECAUSE it has proven to be a useful tool of communication. This is where I came after 2016 to listen. To listen to Black Women. To listen to all whose experiences I did not share, but wanted to understand and learn how I could best be of service and protection.
The reason Dark Brandon works is because of who President Joe Biden is, and because he has a long relationship with us, the American people. We don’t worship him. We trust him. We know he has the welfare of the country close to his heart.
I will never be able to understand the calculus of “If Joe Biden can’t bring peace between Bibi and Hamas with his diplomatic efforts, then we will punish him by electing someone who won’t even give a flying fuck.”
I’m gonna start unfollowing doom posters pretty soon. We’re gonna win this thing. And we’re winning it in numbers that cannot be disputed. You hear me?
What frustrates me is that I feel like those of us who have been making calls, knocking on doors, going to meetings, organizing civic events, you know, us “Establishment Dems” have been screaming for help for years.
For two years now, if you say one positive thing about Sen. Kamala Harris, there is an army of folks ready to knock her down and demote her from positions she’s yet to be offered, while she has a CV that is unmatched.
Many of us who have supported VP Harris came through also having been HRC supporters. I, for one, did not feel like I did enough to defend Clinton. I feel safe saying that we take the protection of VP Harris, and each other, very personally.
Black Women knew who JD Vance was before anyone. They knew Yang. They called Tulsi for who she was. They know this country better than anyone because they’ve had to. It’s survival.
My hypothesis on why many of us hold up Rep. Lauren Underwood is because she so fully embodies what we want to see in our politics. A mastery of issues, policy, and the world in which that policy must be enacted. And a clear understanding and reflection of her constituency.

Man, why do you have to keep hammering on about this? She was the most qualified PERSON to ever run for the office, and you all amplified personality characteristics that you didn’t like and you just can’t stop yourselves even now!
To Alaska (aka Amanda - we figured it out!) Thread - Thank you for sharing this with us. My dad died of cancer when I was 18. Kathryn's parents died within a year of each other when she was 25, her dad of a heart attack while her mom was sick with cancer....
Early voting for the presidential primary is open in Minnesota. I have cast my vote for Joe Biden to be the nominee of the Demicratic Party.
#BidenHarris2024
I’ll be voting for Biden. And the 2nd most qualified person to be President right now happens to currently be serving as Vice-President, so I’m good with that.
If young voters want to know why Democrats haven’t gotten more done, this is why. Because we the voters don’t give them the prolonged power to get the big things done. Building takes time and it takes political capital that WE give them to get the things we want done.
People just out here now pretending that not only does the President have powers he doesn’t actually have in this country, but also in other countries now, too.
@GabbieKDrice
I may have considered myself an independent at one time. But that was probably because I thought it sounded good. I’m a Democrat for life now, and I don’t know why I ever doubted it. Because we’re going to be fighting this stuff for at least the rest of my life.

Jesus. They’re afraid of losing power and want to shore up their “Western European heritage.” Stop feeding their victim narrative.
I saw a Biden sign and a Republican US Senate sign in the same yard today, and I just do not understand that kind of chaotic energy. That’s like saying, “I hope you win and that you accomplish nothing.”
Seeing that photo of President Obama running with Bo, and I’m just reminded of how GOP always try to paint themselves as the “family values” party, but you can’t look at the Obamas, the Clintons, the Harris-Emhoffs, or the Bidens without seeing the love they share for each other.
The major reason I don't spend my time criticizing elected Democrats on here is that they hold a slim majority that is fragile and the entire machinery of White Supremacy is at work to thwart them at every turn and that's not even noting what's going on at the state level.
Why are so many people so quick to blame a lack of intelligence for peoples’ bigotry and racism? You’re denying the motivations that exist to protect their own status in the world. Plenty of well-educated people are racists and bigots.
I still resent being called a moderate Democrat. I differ from some of my peers on how to achieve progress, but I reject that this makes me anything but progressive.
So Kamala Harris is out here actually leading on current issues, transforming the criminal justice forum, standing up for Katie Hill, while raising money for Democrats, and what, we’re all just gonna sleep on her?
I get heated when people talk about inept “politicians” as if one party isn’t actively devoted to making sure government is broken. The Democratic Party is the only party that is going to even begin to make headway on any of the most pressing matters we face.
I don’t ever want to hear about how women can’t be President because they’re too emotional. Small men can be so easily manipulated by their egos, their insecurities, their anger, their envy.
I’m starting to see people talk about wanting to opt out of a stimulus check. But it is a “stimulus” check. If you can afford to spend that money, find some great local businesses and hey, go wild.
The fact that Herschel Walker, JD Vance, and Dr Oz have no business being elected officials is exactly why their voters will vote for them. There is no winning their voters. Only outnumbering them.
And I find it instructive when people speak on what “Democrats” need to do, as if Democrats exist separate from them. If there is something I feel “Democrats” need to do, then I’ll get busy working on it, because I am a Democrat, and a proud one, at that.
My guess is we’ll never fully know the extent of the efforts the Biden administration has made to prevent innocent bloodshed among all peoples. You may think I’m naive for believing this. But I genuinely believe it to be true.
I don’t feel like I’ve mentioned lately how much I appreciate Rep. Lauren Underwood and how glad I am she was re-elected. I think she models so well how Democrats can provide stable and steady government AND be ready to take advantage of opportunities to pass progressive policy.
No, I don't lack the ability to be critical of my elected representatives. So why do I send out posts like this? Because I want to cultivate goodwill for Democrats. I want people to have as few roadblocks as possible to voting for Democrats come the day of the next election.
I didn’t expect Joe Biden to take Kamala Harris’s policies when I came over. But then it’s not that big a deal because they’re Democrats and they stand for the same ideals at heart. And they’re both motivated by service to others, and I trust the hell out of either one of them.
There is no one I would trust more to be President of the United States more right now than President Joe Biden. Nobody understands the gravity of everything that is at stake at home and abroad right now better than him. Well, there’s one woman, but we missed that boat in 2016.
Let’s face it. Kamala Harris is graded on an altogether different scale than everyone else. She has offered solutions and continues to. They’re not always perfect. But she works. She gets results. And she listens and evolves. What have other candidates done?
And while you’re here, I’ll share the one lesson I’ve learned time and time again since 2016.

. Grateful to have this app so I can do just that.
Because of this app, I have been able to be a witness to first-hand accounts of the violence my cohort, white males, visits daily on women, on Black Americans, on Jews, on Asian Americans, on Transgender Americans, specifically, as well as the rest of the LGBTQ+ family.
At 12 years old, Opal Lee's family home was burned down by white supremacists.
At 89, she walked from Texas to D.C. to get Juneteenth declared a federal holiday.
At 97, she was given back the land where her house once stood — and a new one is being built.
President Joe Biden framed his campaign absolutely correctly when he made it about Charlottesville and the Soul of the Nation. I’m over people not being properly excited about maintaining democracy and breaking white supremacy.
Hillary Clinton was right about everything. She had her finger on what is actually happening. And frankly Biden sees it, too. This isn’t about policy. It’s bigger than that. And it always was.

This is the dirty little secret that nobody is talking about: Remember how the Dem Party cheated Bernie Sanders out of the nomination last time? Now they're at it again.
By withholding articles of impeachment from the Senate, Speaker Pelosi is hurting Bernie and helping Biden.
Ahhhh, my favorite Twitter take. When will we finally hold the party accountable for not getting the things we want done when we regularly withhold giving them the ability to get anything done?
Part of the reason I’m particularly invested in protecting Biden at this point is that the strength of his candidacy has come from Black voters. Where do they go if he’s out? More importantly, where WOULD they have gone had he not been in in the first place?
I’m just tweeting to mention Rep. Lauren Underwood because I think she’s great, and because I think too often we spend time talking about people we don’t like. Keep it up, Rep. Underwood! Thanks!
@ReignOfApril
So long as the majority of Black women continue to support Biden, that’s where my vote will go. They’re the heart and soul of the Democratic Party, and I’ll back them up. I trust Biden to serve this country, and I trust Black women to make the best choices for our nation.
I feel like Harrison is really exposing how NOT up to the task Perez was. I'm sure Perez is a good man, but it feels good to see Harrison taking off the gloves.
