@lcavallaro @acm_ccs However, IMHO, the real elephant in the room is what incentivizes our peers to cross these red lines. As security researchers, we know that adversaries will always find new ways. So, an honest discussion of how the academic system pushes scientists to misconduct seems necessary.

In the 2nd keynote at @worma_workshop @IEEEEUROSP, Daniel Arp @darpsec took us back to 2014 to the creation of the famous Drebin dataset and gave a critical view on whether now, a decade later, mobile malware detection is solved. Spoiler: it is not! Still room for more research!
