‼️Happening Now‼️ Social Interdepartmental awareness campaign on drugs and substance abuse continues through collaborative effort of Migration unit, Displaced Persons Unit, Management Support Unit, Substance Abuse Unit and JMPD at Berea. The campaign through Rescue 786 ambulance, Emergency Medical Services provide prompt assistance for the homeless people with ill-health conditions.

This effort is vital, as it targets the most vulnerable, ensuring they receive the support and resources necessary for a better future.

‼️Happening Now‼️ Acting MMC for Health and Social Development, and MMC for Public Safety, Cllr Dr @MTshwaku lead a joint inspection with Environmental Health Practitioners, SAPS and JMPD at Siyabonga Supermarket, Naledi in Soweto. The foreign owned spaza shop has been issued with Prohibition Order by Environmental Health Practitioners due to that the owner uses the spaza shop for sleeping, and the spaza shop does not conspicuously have Certificate of Acceptability (CoA).

This will be a joint spaza shop inspection with Environmental Health Practitioners, SAPS and JMPD aimed to intensify inspections, compliance with regulations and enforcement of provisions of Municipal By-Laws.
