Had to try out their updated looks now that posing is back. Neck seam aside, Ace certainly looks very different, tho that's also thanks to the new shaders, I guess.

I have updated my whole library on NexusMods for Dawntrail and tested in Penumbra. Most of the stuff does not need to be re-downloaded if you used the auto upgrader, but here is a changeslog:
- The Body SE-Q - Added an optional leg edit in case you want tree trunk legs

Added a small update to reduce the neck seam.
I added a quick and dirty texture update of the old tb 2.0 type 3 normal textures to The Body SE-Q entry on Nexus as an optional addon, in case anyone misses their muscle definition and veins. Still has similar neck seam issues as tbse tho. :)

So I'm starting my DT upgrade spree now since I get conflicting reports regarding automatic upgrades and I just want to be done with it.
I'll go in order of popularity and post a list of item with actual changes beyond a mere upgrade here (likely just color set adjustments).

Spoiler free DT observations;
- They somehow managed to give the most baby faced characters the deepest voices.
- Male Hrothgar NPCs often look like someone pressed random and called it a day.
- So many beautiful locations. Looking forward to pose here. 😁

Honestly, for me Living Memory was a good idea and could have had real impact. But it felt like the one of the worst padded snooze fests I've experienced in FFXIV. At the end I was so done, I couldn't even care for Cacciatore defragmenting for good.

I think it's interesting how controversial DT MSQ is. I.e. I hated the last zone and found it a boring and unnecessary slog with maybe two redeeming scenes. Other people praise that part a masterpiece or talk about the emotional impact. All power to them even tho I disagree.

First thing I installed for my character was the open Fuga Haori from Tsar. I don't use the same body anymore, but I really like the Fuga Haori and also made a mod for it. Just cause it looks good. xD
Same for my first mod I made, the Skyworker Singlet. Still use it, but with Q.

Finally restored Qadan's large tail. I got so used to the large tail mod I forgot how tiny the normal AuRa tails are. 😅

I honestly will wait and see how penumbra handles automatic mod upgrades in the real version before doing anything regarding my old mods. Since with the TT auto update of the penumbra library everything looks pretty good actually, so I don't think I need to bother.

Honestly, I'm very happy that DT preserved AuRa face 1 as well as it did and fixed my biggest gripe about it (corners of the mouth were so choppy). I'll probably stay in the lizard camp for a while now. 😂
