Without a code of conduct, or a strict set of rules for behaviour and how to report it, these festivals are not safe spaces for women. For anyone! Yeah, 'nothing bad' happened to me, but this behaviour is exhausting and it is still sexism. Pure and simple.

In lockdown, I discovered that I had hearing loss - aged 27. It's been a bitter pill to swallow, but has been sadly made all the more difficult by bars, taprooms & pubs being so inaccessible for me.
Loud, noisy, echoing spaces are exhausting to exist in for deaf people ✍️
