El Cajon Police are investigating an officer involved shooting, which occurred outside the police station. The media is asked to stage in the west parking lot of 100 Civic Center Way. This is an ongoing investigation, more details to follow.

ECPD will be conducting a DUI checkpoint Friday, 12/20/24 from 8:00 PM – 2:00 AM in the 300 block of West Chase Avenue. Checkpoint locations are chosen based on a history of DUI crashes and arrests. The primary purpose of checkpoints is not to make arrests, but to promote public safety by deterring drivers from driving impaired!
