At least 300 million lost in one project. Just think about how many startups you could have supported with that kinda money! how many families from small islands could have been helped to relocate! F**k this system #dhaaimeeHalleh beynun

"China in July 2023 hit its 2030 target six years ahead of schedule"
China broke its own records for new wind and solar power installations again last year, official data showed on Tuesday, accelerating from a breakneck pace set in 2023 as the country looks to peak its carbon emissions before 2030.

When fairness, justice and equality goes out the window-whether in distribution of resources or enforcing laws-society starts falling apart. And when that happens, you see all kinds of absurd rules to maintain law and order.

about 16% of our $3bn budget is allocated to healthcare which amounts to some 530 mil. about 43% of this goes to the big 7 hospitals, 26% on insurance and medical support, and the rest is distributed among the Ministry, HPA, Drug Authority, Dhamanaveshi, Blood bank, remaining 16 public hospitals and 164 health centers. The question isn’t whether 16% is a sufficient share for healthcare, but whether it is sustainable to divide these funds across more than 190 facilities/agencies. ----- Everyone knows infrastructure alone doesn’t guarantee quality healthcare. We need good equipment and operational supplies. We also need skilled professionals. But attracting good doctors, nurses and other professionals such as managers, lab technicians, and pathologists to smaller islands is a challenge. The reasons are clear: - Fewer opportunities to practice medicine in less populated areas. - Lack of a quality living standard, including limited access to education and healthcare for their families ---- What other root causes contribute to these challenges? And how can we optimize our budget to address them effectively? Until we address these realities, we will continue to struggle with the same issues, stuck in a rut, always playing the blame game of "kuree sarukaaru, mihaaru sarukaaru" --- I think it's time to move beyond the extremes of centralization and decentralization and adopt a balanced strategy that maximizes our limited resources. but we cannot do that without uniting.
