Boarding a matatu in the morning...the price is hiked from 100 to 150 bob. Asking the conductor why the increase was so steep he gives me that tout look and tells me... "Kama hujiskii na hii, enda ukapande wheelbarrow." I did not see that coming!

Baba Yao was once a hero of the people - even fighting back police with stones when they'd attack the public and their property. That's what he should have perfected - a champion for the people. But he sharpened his "eating" teeth instead- now he's torn to pieces...no stitchback.

In contemporary Africa, Ubuntu is more of an aspiration than a reality, a historical flower with no visible fruit. It neither informs political thinking nor influences responses to crises like the ongoing tragedy in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo.

We have an anchor that keeps the soul Stedfast and sure while the billows roll, Fastened to the Rock which cannot move, Grounded firm and deep in the Savior’s love.

Interacting with names like Fred Matiang’i, Morara Kebaso, David Maranga, and Okiya Omtatah at the balot box incites hope. Their names are small in the eyes of the broad base but are broad in the eyes of Kenyans. The names are more than just ambition, they represent a spirit.

Politics should not just be about being RE-ELECTED - it should always be about ELEVATING the people, not because they are voters but because they are, simply, GOD'S PEOPLE. Securing a second term should not be an obsession - securing better lives for the people should be.

Customer service is NOT about being always nice. Throwing sanitary towels on an officer should NEVER yield a smile! The customer shifts from king to a despicable thing. "Call your president" punch settled it! This @KenyaAirways lady should be PROMOTED for standing for DIGNITY.

Kenya Airways Statement on Passenger Incident at Nairobi (NBO) Transfer Desk Our attention has been drawn to a social media video showing a verbal exchange between a passenger and a Kenya Airways agent at the transfer desk in Nairobi (NBO). For context: The guest was traveling from Lagos to Nairobi, Paris, and Manchester. On arrival in Nairobi for her connecting flight (Nairobi-Paris), it was discovered that she did not have a SCHENGEN Visa, which is a requirement for her to enter any European Union Country. She was offered an alternative to travel through London and onward to Manchester, which she refused. Upon further investigation, we have established that the video does not provide full context. Unhappy with this option, the guest demanded accommodation, which Kenya Airways does not provide in cases where boarding is denied due to visa requirements. It is the responsibility of passengers to ensure they have the necessary documentation for their journey. In a distressing turn of events, the guest resorted to inappropriate behaviour by removing and throwing 3 used sanitary pads at our employees. We strongly condemn such conduct. While we remain committed to delivering exceptional service, we expect all interactions to be based on mutual respect. Our employees deserve to work in a safe and dignified environment, and we do not tolerate any abuse from our employees or guests. The incident has been reported and is under investigation by the relevant security agencies. We are committed to taking the necessary steps to ensure the well-being and safety of our employees and guests at all times. Corporate Communications, Kenya Airways 3 February 2025

There'll be increased broadbase activity of presidential launches of projects not even worthy a Governor's time. The project is only a platform of the REAL launch - the launch of ATTACKS on system critics. But the more they attack the critics, the more they reveal who they fear.

Attacking the Kibaki legacy?? This is not only a long shot but a ridiculous one! The system is rating itself and predictably, way way overrating itself. At this rate, they will soon tell us "What Mungiki has done in six months took Mau Mau ten years..."

@wmnjoya Africa is a mass of lands separated by lines drawn by Western artists. The African spirit is a fiction "Lion King" movie. Africa is the actor in the West Theatre who embodies raw values..like community. But away from acting, machete in hand, Ubuntu is a prayer..never a reality

@kimani_dr @PaulKagame Ubuntu philosophy is wonderful. The challenge to us is to morph it from a historical flower to a contemporary ideological power...with fruit to show. That way, it becomes both an inheritance and an export.

@kimani_dr @PaulKagame Ubuntu is a phantom. In contemporary Africa, it is only an aspiration - it is neither a spirit nor a structured response. For many Africans, they encounter it in classrooms - not in homes or streets. It does not inform Africa's political thinking... it has nothing to say to Goma.

We've studied the BroadBase well enough to observe that when they speak, what they say is either a lie, a denial, an exaggeration, or an imagination. Their official approach is 'reject reality.' But when you reject reality, the people who live in that reality reject you too.

People who make never-ending trips around their country abusing their citizens while popping out of sunroofs cannot be peacemakers in DRC! People who have mastered lying cannot extract the truth about Goma!
