On this day in August, I left Ghana for Canada to start graduate school after a YEAR of battling my visa rejection at the Canadian Federal Court. It was unbelievable. It still is unbelievable. One YEAR!
Update: IRCC through it's lawyer[s] sought to ask the Federal court to dismiss my appeal. Their request was denied and we are scheduled to go to court in April. I am extremely grateful for all of your support so far. I do not take it for granted. At all.

Everytime I go to funerals, I'm reminded that a pastor decided to preach about homosexuality at a friend's mother's memorial service as soon as he saw me. Ei. I decided from that time, that I wasn't going to do any such ceremonies again. But of course, I've broken that promise.
