Most people don’t care about any of these.
Most people want their problems to be solved, whether AI is used in the background or not.
Technology is still a means, not and end.

I've just learned about the 1:10:100 rule.
It states that for every $1 it takes to fix a problem during design, it costs $10 to fix the issue during development, and $100 to fix after the product release.
That's why you should talk to users and identify problems early on.

Frankly I’ve had to unlearn a lot of drivel that was pushed into my brain by past experiences in some accelerators and from my own inclinations as a software engineer.
Focus on the customer problem. Find a way to reach those customers. Deliver.

Haven't made it official yet... but I am closing down EnVsion soon because the business isn't growing to my expectations.

So... I decided to test side by side how fast ChatGPT, Claude 3, and Groq Llama 3 responded to the same input prompt.
And even with a bit of head start for ChatGPT 4 and Claude 3, Groq still destroyed them speed wise 🤯
I welcome better models, but I want more tokens/s now!

So I wrote some code using my AI Agent library to download, transcribe, and create clips of relevant soundbites from Pieter Levels interview's on the Lex Fridman podcast.
It generated 4 clips. Not a bad start at all.

I haven't done any fine-tuning since we got 100K+ context windows with GPT/Claude 3/Gemini .
Putting examples in context works great for my use cases, although cost could be an issue.
But as the price/tokens goes down we'll see more context window utilisation.

While I think being remote-first should be the norm in most knowledge jobs, it seems to be an unfair advantage at this stage.
Employee flight is going to be brutal for companies operating under the in-office model ☠️.
From a CEO:

Langchain can be good for hackathons or quickly prototyping something.
But I’ve read so many horror stories from devs who used it in production and then just scrambled to get rid of it. It’s not pretty.
They have raised a ton of money though. I wonder what their endgame is.
