@StanleyCLee lab has come to represent at #RNACancerSRC. Tonight the man himself is giving a talk and tomorrow I present my thesis work linking SF3B1 mutations to hematopoietic dysregulation in MDS.

@Youngpocket21 @owen_poser @Christian5tan @insultsrare The detection of pheromones requires a vemeronasal organ which Homo sapiens do not possess. Any one of thing trying to sell you on pheromones is a scam because, even if we secrete pheromones (no evidence we do) we can't detect them.

Amen to this. I may have made more $ as a bartender than I do as a PhD student, but even with all the stress, I am so much happier and fulfilled doing science!
People in academia who’ve never had a job outside of this bubble, trust me, you have no idea what you’re talking about. The food industry/customer service field will bring you to your knees in a week. I’d do a PhD all over again rather than go back to work at the family business
