Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Brain Okoli @brain_okoli in person for the first time. If you recall, my company EASTSIDE VENTURES @eastsideventurs , through our subsidiary Ghost Partners Fund, invested $100K in the seed round of his company @mamae_foods MAMAE FOODS—an innovative FMCG company producing organic food spices for healthy living. For weeks now, Brain has been in the UK connecting with investors and international distributors, strategically tapping into the Diaspora market. As an angel investor, I don’t just invest in businesses; I invest in founders. Because a great founder can turn any idea into success. Brain is one of those rare great founders. His inspiring journey convinced me to become his first investor, backing him with $100K to kickstart this vision. Mamae Foods is disrupting the market as the first organic food spice brand for health-conscious consumers, and we love their story. I am deeply honored to be recognized as one of the pillars of Nollywood Icons at the Nollywood Storms Hollywood gala night, hosted at Dream Studios, California. As a long-time investor and advocate for authentic African storytelling, I have dedicated resources and support to several Nollywood productions, working to elevate our culture on the global stage. Through my Company @eastsideventurs and its subsidiary @voiceoftheeast, my commitment to amplifying African narratives has only grown. This year, we embarked on a major film project that authentically portrays African stories, and I am thrilled to share that it will be completed in 2025. Sadly, my transport company, @onyeijemotors, will not launch on November 11, as I had planned. I have 20 Vehicles on the ground but couldn't get a befitting Park in Enugu state to launch.
