Did you know? By the end of 2023, only 3.5 million people were using pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to prevent HIV. UNAIDS aims to reach 10 million by 2025. On the bright side, 30 million of the 40 million people living with HIV are now on treatment—a monumental achievement after years of loss and heartbreak. : Source @UNAIDS These medicines aren’t a cure, but they hold the power to stop the HIV pandemic. #EndHIV #PrEP #UNAIDS #HealthForAll

"Gender inequality disproportionately affects women and girls across the globe. Gender has implications for health in the course of every person’s life. That is why, the health system today should continuously identify and address the differing needs and situations of females and males of different ages and groups." source @UNDP

#Genderequality is, first and foremost, a human right. It implies that women, men, boys and girls of all classes and races participate as equals and have equal value. They enjoy equal access to resources, freedoms and opportunities to exercise control. Source @UNFPA #eannasoforhealth #eannasoforcommunities #genderequality

What are your thoughts on #genderequality in health programming? As per @UNFPA_ESARO "Gender equality means that the rights, responsibilities and opportunities of individuals will not depend on whether they are male or female, handicapped or able bodied, young or elderly, white or black, or from rural or urban settings." #gendermainstreaming #equalityforall #eannasoforhealth #eannasoforcommunities
