2/3 Thank you to all for making your voices heard. At present, no one’s opinion is being ignored. Because I take the issue very seriously, and important decisions will follow, the latter require a thoughtful process.

1/3 Discussion around the paper on gender dysphoria. I acknowledge that some individuals/media used it to do damage to the LGBTQ community, and I sincerely apologize for it, since eNeuro published it.

Paper on gender dysphoria. We conducted an independent review of the article in response to raised concerns and concluded that any clinical or treatment recommendations were unsupported, thus inappropriate and should be removed.

I became aware of the concerns raised by a paper published in eNeuro regarding dysphoria. I am on it.

@doc_becca True, but I applied to many grants. Workplan of course including males and females, as stress & epilepsy sensitivity is very different between males and females. Nobody wanted to fund it. Not important enough! I had to use leftovers from other grants.
