NEW: Bruno Lopez de Moura, the supposed mastermind behind the whole betting scandal, revealed to the CPI das Apostas today that the yellow card received by Lucas Paquetá in the game between West Ham and Aston Villa was supposed to be a "birthday present" for Paqueta's brother, Matheus Tolentino. Moura, involved in the MP-GO's Operation Maximum Penalty, stated that he made a combined bet on this match and another involving Luiz Henrique, based on privileged information from Marlon Bruno Nascimento Silva, Lucas Paqueta's uncle. The CPI report indicates that Bruno Lopez de Maura received R$97,000 from Paquetá's uncle and was involved in recruiting players for the scheme.
