We are releasing UVO, a new benchmark for open-world segmentation. We believe open-world segmentation is a foundation task to unlock long video understanding and open-world visual reasoning. Compete in our challenge at @ICCV_2021 and help to advance those areas.

Given what happened with CVPR, does anyone know what the most effective plagiarism detection tool to use? I think PI should definitely run it themselves before allowing their students to submit.

Thoughts on reviewer chasing: (was with #ACCV2022 and now #ICCV2023 ), there are many non-responsive reviewers who never respond to ACs (even simply tell they cannot complete their reviews). Remember, volunteering work is still commitments. Oragnizers may enforce penalty here

Message from our #CVPR2022 Program Chairs: Unless the epidemiological situation changes drastically, CVPR 2022 will be in person, with an online option for those who cannot travel. Information on visa letters will be sent to authors in the next few days.

I think CVPR will have a hard time to recruit reviewers.

#CVPR2022 Motion 3: "Any reviewer who has accepted an invitation to review but violates the reviewing guidelines set forth by the conference will be prohibited from submitting any papers to CVPR for up to two years." My vote is a resounding NO! 1/n

I am delighted to share that #FLAVR is selected as the Best Paper Finalist at #WACV2023 . We propose a new framework for creating slomo videos with huge improvements in output quality and inference time. Webpage: Video:

after a few rounds of chasing reviewers, i am curious to know what conference organizers will do with reviewers who never submit reviews (assigned to them of course) and even never respond to AC emails? #ACCV2022

A nice reflection of Michael Black on the history of ICCV. This reminds me the day I attended my first conference as a graduate student, CVPR 2007 at Minneapolis, where I met many good friends. I hope to see some of you in 2022 in person at CVPR or ECCV!

I've loved #ICCV since my first one in 1990. In this blog post, I reflect on the last 31 years of ICCV and the field of computer vision. Hopefully you enjoy this on the last day of #ICCV2021 . See you in Paris in 2023!

@CSProfKGD saidly, many cases, AC is the only one to start the discussion thread and none of reviewers reply, but directly enter their final rating and justification. Even worse, some justification provides no useful information.

We release UVO (Unidentified Video Objects) v1.0. Compared with v0.5, UVO v1.0 has 2X more videos & 3X more annotations. We hope UVO will help facilitate future research in video understanding. Link to the dataset:

@_akhaliq This sounds an interesting work, but I still wonder: how do we know if any ImageNet images (validation set) were used in training difussion models, i.e. Imagen, or not?

@BoqingGo For me, I'd like to do a full pass of (carefully reading) all submissions, do some calibrations, then take another pass w/ writing reviews. This way of operating make it look like no review at all, and then shortly all of the reviews are in (from the AC view/statistics).

@dimadamen yes, this is why IPs check their own students papers are more scalable. Maybe the better way is to provide the turnitin report to authors inside CMT so PIs have the options right next to their hands.

@Ar_Douillard yes, but it seems the other motion didn’t pass. And if the other motion get passed, it will introduce more noise to the review process, e.g., who are the first time submitters, not qualified to be reviewers, but have to do that and you know what are going to happen.
