Three years ago today, we bought this farm.

Simon is my special boy. He's become aggressive, but isn't very good at it. He starts pecking when he's two feet away, eventually makes contact with my boot and just holds on with his beak. I almost wonder if he has vision issues.

One last Screw You from February. 80 degrees yesterday, 45mph winds today and down to near zero degrees by morning, then back to balmy by the weekend.

Deep cleaned the chicken coop, learned how to detach the new tiller from the tractor, swapped out the blade for the bucket, mowed the pasture moved piles of organic stuff from one spot to another. It was a good day. Carry on.

The girls covered the spectrum today. Everything from fun size to extra-extra large.

Seeded clovers and native wild flowers. Tilled a new garden bed, learned to use a new piece of equipment. Cleaned up the medicinal herb garden. Tilled a veggie patch for my retired farmer neighbour. Petted barncats and cuddled goats. How was your Sunday?

Going to be making tinctures and powders. I think the bees can spare a few.

We planted berry, bush and vine. And many, many beans. Weeds were whacked and a poorly hen was offered succor. Beds were prepared for further planting. A good but tiring day in a very busy week. The missus will return to work next week to get some rest.
