@olsonplanner Gotcha. I think my final stuff was through principal. I also had a policy through my residency so had a means to compare all the line items.

@olsonplanner How long ago did that happen? I did my stuff 2.5-3 years ago! Sad to see they've gone downhill. Their policy was the best I could get for the price back then and they didn't have some exclusions that others did.

@admsteiner @olsonplanner Agree to disagree. The market, especially insurance, doesn't care about patient health. They care about their bottom line. Can and/or should implies equivalence, which there is absolutely not.

@admsteiner @olsonplanner I have a more sinister take. I think the system will compensate by more people training to be midlevels. In this scenario, physicians will do less and less direct patient care in some fields and do way more supervision.

@olsonplanner And/or places of work will start doing some sort of loan assistance but this will likely tie physicians to longer term contracts that they may not realize aren't great for them until they're seriously stuck.

@simplyserotonin As an MS4, our school actually taught us how we're supposed to give feedback and then we supervised MS1s and got a chance to learn to actually do it. Most people don't magically know how to give feedback. It's a skill that needs to be taught and learned.
