Pitino has moved this team further along each year he’s been here. Not the ending we wanted, but I will take continuous growth of the program from our coach. Gonna be a lot of lobo Twitter nastiness than I’ll try to stay out of. Looking forward to what’s to come! Go Lobos!

This is a sports rivalry and one I definitely participate in. But my “rivalry” ends at the end of the game. I’ve got no true hatred for our fellow New Mexicans in the south. This is a blow to both schools and the entire state. I want us all to be better.

People from all over this state send their sons and daughters to both UNM and NMSU every year. Kids from las cruces sometimes go to UNM. Kids from Albuquerque sometimes go to NMSU. My sister has degrees from both schools. We are not “enemies.”

Seeding matters. Lobos were a better team than sdsu this year. That was proven on the court. They had a better noncon schedule. We HAVE to improve there. If other MW schools getting more pay games, why can’t we get more? All their bravado and trash talk, they’re not as good as us
