Do you remember when Anthem said they were going to limit anesthesia coverage during surgery and then they backed off? I filed legislation yesterday to prevent any insurer from limiting anesthesia coverage during surgery.

After announcing that I would file legislation preventing Anthem from limiting their anesthesia coverage during surgery, they have backtracked from this dangerous policy. Thank you to everyone who spoke out in support. This is a victory for all Missourians!

Blue Cross/Blue Shield has announced a new policy in Missouri to not cover anesthesia care if surgery goes beyond a certain arbitrary time. This is dangerous, egregious and appalling. I’m going to file legislation to prevent Blue Cross from doing this to Missourians.

Thank you to all the veterans for your courage and sacrifice. We owe our freedom to you. I loved hearing my grandmother’s tales about her Navy days in WW2. I was honored to pass Women Veterans Appreciation Day a little over a year ago.
