I’m proud to be a signatory of this open letter calling for the next government to prioritise higher public investment. The plans of both main parties imply further real terms cuts to public investment after the election. This is a recipe for stagnation.

While China (where I am currently) keeps investing in its universities, the UK government keeps weakening our university sector. If the UK doesn’t wake up soon..,

Interesting! There are five different crisis going on and different people highlight different ones: migration, climate, financial, pandemic and the war

"Entry-level" bracelets for 3,000 pounds and Channel bags for 10,000 dollars. Why don´t we get more surprised? These are just crazy numbers! My latest entry on inequality:

Oxfam´s report on inequality this year rightly points out the link between monopolies and wealth (globally and in many regions). We need more active market regulation!
