How often should you clean/replace Air Purifier filters? Pre-filters: Clean every 2-4 weeks. HEPA & carbon filters: Replace every 6-12 months. Also, Air purifiers work best up to an AQI of 500. Beyond that, even purifiers struggle. Keep windows closed & limit outdoor exposure.

Guide to an air purifier: Choose one with HEPA filters (removes 99.97% of PM2.5) and activated carbon (absorbs gases like NO2 & VOCs) Use it in closed spaces (rooms with windows shut) and place it at areas where you spend your maximum time (living room/bedroom) #BreatheHealthy

If you really want to protect yourself, a surgical mask won’t cut it for air pollution! N95 masks filter 95% of harmful PM2.5 particles and create a tight seal to keep polluted air out. Surgical masks? They let 80-90% of pollutants through. Choose wisely!

We don't understand the deleterious effects of the poison we breathe. We now have enough scientific evidence to implicate not only respiratory diseases like asthma and COPD to air pollution but even ailments like Stoke, MI, Pulmonary embolism, depression, parkinson and impotence.

Had a productive weekend. Travelled to Pune to talk about ECMO at NAPCON and then to Kolkata to talk on Asthma at APICON. The cherry on the cake was the release of the book 'Medicine Update' at APICON containing a chapter on Difficult to treat Asthma that I authored.

@smith37302 It can. But then it would mean that settings are not optimised. If you have low BP, BiPaP can further worsen your pressures.
