New research led by @samantha_tol out of @SeagrassEcology @TropWATER @jcu shows #turtles and #dugong on the #GBR not only help disperse seagrass seeds but also improve their germination rates.
Mega-herbivores, #dugong and #greenseaturtles, have been found to increase #seagrass germination, with up to four times greater germination probability and up to 60% faster time to germinate. Read how here:
