A bump in the road doesn’t mean you stop driving. 8 1/2 hour surgery today was successfu. dr smith said 6-9 month time frame for recovery, so you all can see me again in 6 months, and i’m coming back better than i ever was.

2 months ago i suffered one of the worst possible injuries on a football field. since then i have been to pt every morning, bent my knee to 105 degrees, put 140 pounds on it, started walking with crutches, and been on multiple college visits. AGTG!!

mri results came back, everything except for my meniscus was torn. my entire knee also dislocated. but, at pt this morning they did get my paroneal nerve to react so we know it’s still there. surgery scheduled for next week, lots of work ahead.

so i haven’t shared anything about this but i had to stay a couple extra nights at the hospital. after surgery, my “36 hour” nerve block ran off in about 12🤣 luckily there was a great staff of nurses to get me another nerve block and a bunch of pain medicine and i’m headed home!

I think i could name 100 different places i could spend my 17th birthday, but right now my main focus is to get back healthy as fast as possible. so, a little pre surgery pt is what i started my big day with. surgery tomorrow morning!!

before the mri results come back the only thing we don’t know is torn yet is my meniscus and i think whatever is on the inside of my knee i can’t remember, but everything else is torn.

i also have a nerve lime thing that controls my foot that they’re really hoping isn’t responding because of the swelling or because i stretched it. but if it’s destroyed they’re not really sure what will happen. i have pt at 715 in the morning to hopefully get the nerve to react

think i really needed to hear this, i just suffered a massive knee injury. tore everything but my meniscus, completely dislocated my knee, and fractured something else. i fully believe he has a plan for me and i trust him in everything i do, but recently i’ve just asked him why
