I think most 49ers fans realize that Kyle Shanahan won’t win a Super Bowl, but are so traumatized by the Jim Tomsula and Chip Kelly seasons that they think Shanahan is the best head coach the Yorks can get.

The Shanahan hate is wild. A coach who has not had an elite QB goes to 4 NFCCGs and 2 SB while dealing with the 2018 and 2020 injury catastrophes. Cmon let’s be real.
Mike Tomlin: 0 losing seasons in 18 years. John Harbaugh: 1 losing season in 17 years. Sean McDermott: 1 losing season in 8 years. Sean McVay: 1 losing season in 8 years (this year could be 2). Matt LaFleur: 1 losing season in 6 years.
