How strange is the universe. The advice we give others to get out of a slump, we often fail to apply to ourselves when faced with the same situation. Maybe that’s why it exists; to remind us that it’s okay to seek help. No matter how strong or wise you are, sometimes everyone gets fog on their spectacles. Let someone wipe it for you.

"Am I good enough?" is a thought every one of us has faced at some point in life. While it can be harmful, it's important to understand that you don’t need to be perfectly good enough to be in a place; you need to be willing to learn, work hard, and keep improving. Self-doubt can be detrimental, but if you channel it into "How can I make myself stronger from here?", you'll continue to grow in life.

There's no ideal pathway to success, nor a deadline for what you want to achieve in life. The key is to find balance. While people often say it's better to cry in a Lamborghini, real success lies in enjoying the process while staying committed to your responsibilities. Everyone goes through challenges in life, but the path to happiness should always come from within.

A student texted me, saying: 'Sir, in the past, people believed that becoming an engineer or a doctor were the only good ways to live a settled life. But now, there are so many options to explore, enjoy life, and earn as well! Why do I still stick to the conventional pathway of slogging for years to become a doctor?' To this, I replied: 'That’s a valid thought. But remember, the choice of pathway isn’t about what’s conventional or unconventional-it’s about what resonates with you. If medicine feels like your calling, it’s worth the effort, even if it’s challenging. With time, you’ll see that being a doctor is about more than a stable job-it’s a privilege to make a difference. That said, it’s equally important to enjoy the process and not let the pressure overshadow your journey. #MedTwitter

Validation is a double-edged sword. It can boost your confidence and affirm your efforts, but relying too much on it makes you vulnerable to criticism and comparison. The real power lies in internal validation-knowing your worth, trusting your journey, and staying true to your goals, regardless of external opinions.

Do you wear someone else’s shoes, or do you have your own pair? While debates about dream branches are age-old, the circumstances you face now, the luxuries your situation offers, and the future life you envision are deeply personal choices. They’re not dictated by a set standard or norm; it’s essential to chart your own path. Go out there, carve a road for yourself, inaugurate it with pride, and in a few years, people will be asking you for directions to this "less traveled road." #MedTwitter

People opting for terminal or non-terminal branches, please proceed with further fellowships or specializations only if you genuinely feel an interest in that subject later on. Don't choose just because it will "pay well" or because it's a societal norm to have that fellowship or subspecialization. Instead, try to "enjoy and apply" what you have learned, rather than "chasing" something your mind doesn’t relate to. #MedTwitter

I can still recall the T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan, where, despite all the pressure, Ravichandran Ashwin decided to leave the ball, knowing it would go wide. Some things are God-given, like talent; some you acquire through hard work. But that one percent-the moment you create pure magic-is unforgettable. Ashwin has given us many such moments. Thank you, Ashwin! #Ashwin

Videos of world chess champion Gukesh have been making the rounds, where he talks about his dream of becoming the world’s youngest chess champion - an example of the power of manifestation. Too often, people lack the courage to aim for such big dreams. They settle for being “practical,” but remember: the world is a wish-granting factory. If it sees you limiting your dreams, how can it go beyond those limits to gift you what you truly deserve?

Set daring goals, even if they seem foolish. If you aim for X, you might achieve X-1, but sometimes, what seems impossible or foolish becomes your reality. Keep pushing—the law of effort rewards those who dare. #MedTwitter

A student recently texted me to update me on his NEET PG preparation, and he mentioned something that really stuck with me. He said, "My way to relax is to play cricket with my non-medico friends or spend even 10 minutes a day with them. I feel that as medicos, we are so wired that we sometimes miss life outside medicine. When I spend time with them, it reminds me that life isn't that complicated—everyone is enjoying their struggles while being uncertain about the future. Instead of calling my medico friends and all of us lying about our GT scores, I prefer spending time playing with my non-medico friends." Do you feel the same way about your non-medico friends? #MedTwitter

The debate between 1st-generation and 2nd-generation doctors is an age-old one. 1st-generation doctors may lack initial guidance, but with a few years of skillful work, they prove their mettle. While the common belief is that 2nd-generation doctors have everything laid out and guided for them, they often face pressures and branch biases that can be equally confusing. Ultimately, every doctor faces their own struggles in one way or another. Patients don’t stick to your name or your institution’s reputation—they stick to results and how well you communicate. #MedTwitter

The debate around top rankers choosing which branch to pursue and the future of specialists doesn't make much sense. Residency is an entirely different ball game compared to NEET PG, and life after residency—actual practice—is another challenge altogether. A doctor's success doesn't come from how much they earn or how busy they are; it comes from how satisfied they feel. #MedTwitter

@AprilAnna_24 @VishnuFNO There’s no reversal as of now when it comes to diabetes. It’s called remission. Congrats on your remission.
