This is great work by @RCollEM @RCEMpresident & others. But we need to remember this is a problem affecting children too (& disaggregate data for kids). Heartbreaking stuff. We may need different strategies for sorting this out in Children’s A&E departments nationally.
@HSJnews It really matters a lot if an elderly person waits more than 6 hours to be admitted. Last year, nearly 400,000 people stayed more than 24 hours in English EDs. This is a fixable problem

Important & scary article from @RCEMpresident. Added to the wet weather I’m suddenly feeling very nervous about the winter. We saw unprecedented challenges for children’s emergency care nationally last winter. Children deserve better. I hope the government is listening.
