I was going to say this, but you beat me to it. Before we even get into the depths of Cait's actions/emotions, Mel's quote precedes them: "She hides it admirably, but the poor girl's in so much pain." The writers are plainly telling us that she's emotionally distraught (cont.).
Genuinely do we really need a huge thread talking about why Caitlyn did what she did and defending her actions lol like it’s so obvious WHY she did it. That doesn’t mean people have to like it or be made to feel stupid for being uncomfortable with it.
