@BritishGas One of those stressful days. The boiler stopped working, no heating, no hot water. We Have Homecare but BG unable to give appointment for 5 days. They said you should have a backup. I thought they were my back up. Feeling helpless 😒

Once you understand that Validity, Reliability and Fairness remain main priorities for the #CASC exam, many anxieties around the changing nature of MRCPsych exams are easier to resolve. @aaraoof @AconwayM @rcpsych @HamiltonDarragh

Every resident doctor and teacher need to learn that "Criticism and humiliation have no place in medical education" If a resident/ teacher is using these 'tools' then they are not just bad teachers but a harmful teachers. We were lucky. I hear now UGs call a yr sr 'Sir / Madam'
If realise how lucky I was to do psychiatry residency at BJMC, Pune. (1996-99&1yr lecturer job after that). Workload was a lot. But lecturers, associate professors and even unit heads used to be in OPD full time. No name calling, abuse, bullying. Excellent mentorship. First name basis for up to 7 yr seniors. Asso prof would buy breakfast for all after rounds. Lecturer or senior residents would buy tea during emergency sessions. Work was finished by 5-6pm. Ample support , practice, guidance for exams and extra reading. Librarian was excellent. I have written and an entire post on FB about him. Did I work in same India that everyone now complains about? Tagging seniors and colleagues from same dept in next tweet.

When you listen to yesterday's speech by @MichelleObama you feel inspired and patriotic even when you are not interested in politics of the country and not a citizen of that country.
