More evidence to debunk the claim that amateur observers are the best judge of expert professionals. Student voice matters, and can help us pick up things we miss, but that doesn't mean it's always correct, or privileged, or incontestable.

Good concept, but does it include passenger weight? I suspect that would narrow the gap a bit. Current figures feel unlikely.
For the 'cyclists should pay to use the road' types I'm happy to pay if it is proportionate to the damage I do It would take a road bike 3,044 years of doing the same journey every day to damage the road as much as 1 journey in an SUV H/T @CS3Count
