Happy Thanksgiving! In my multicultural family, we usually do all the “traditional” fixings mixed with fried rice and noodles. This year, we’ve got turkey, pie, battered prawns and deep fried wontons with sweet & sour sauce. #thanksgiving

Working on a new project and it’s one for the kiddies (or kidults)! It’s loosely based on my grandmother (who turned 105 recently!) and gentrification in #ChinatownYVR. Here’s Poh-Poh and her pets at home.

Finally finished this painting of #chinatownYVR. It was supposed to be the book cover, but we went in a diff direction. I eventually finished this after 5 months. This feels like a good way to conclude the project though. I’m looking forward to working on something new.

Built in 1895, 630 Princess Ave in #Strathcona was once home to the shingle king of North America. James Archibald McNair lived in this house from 1901-1904 & was president of the Hastings Shingle Manufacturing Co. It would later become the largest shingle company in the world!

This absolute cutie is a reminder of the character and heritage in #Strathcona. Nestled on 500-block Union St, this house is a Queen Anne style house built in 1891. The sunburst motif was quite common back in the day. #Vancouver
