You don’t need to spend billions of dollars and you don’t need thousands of people to make driverless vehicles a reality. The key to safely and successfully bringing a product to market isn’t having the deepest pockets or the highest headcount, it’s having the right people on your team and a focused mindset. Especially now with the boom of AI, it’s more evident than ever that the priority is to focus on quality over just quantity. The future belongs to those who build smarter—not just bigger. @KodiakRobotics #selfdriving

@KodiakRobotics continues to lead in autonomous trucking and 2025 will be the most exciting year in our company's and industry's history. It’s clear that the Trump administration is focused on cementing America as the leader in AI, defense tech, and energy production. Kodiak is uniquely situated to take advantage of all these national priorities and is poised for a boom in growth. Between our industry leading trucking customer base, our dual-use ground autonomy that the Department of Defense needs, and our driverless deployment in the oilfields in the Permian Basin, there’s no doubt that 2025 is poised to be the biggest year for Kodiak yet!

Can your AV do this? @KodiakRobotics is taking self-driving to the next level, driving in conditions nobody thought possible: complete snow cover on icy roads that the system has never seen before. No data collect, no mapping, no prior information of any kind. Oh, and the system had never been trained on ANY snow data either. More on how Kodiak is using GenAI to push self-driving into a new era coming soon. 🚀 Have you seen another AV system tackle something like this? Let me know in the comments, tag someone who might find this as fascinating as we do, or share it with your network to spark the conversation! #snow #autonomy #genAI #transportation

Making mistakes is a part of driving. Whether it’s a wrong turn, a last-minute lane change, or a missed turn signal, driving errors are common. Most of us brush them off—because we know that nobody’s perfect. But when it comes to autonomous vehicles, we have a lower tolerance for mistakes than from people. We hold autonomous systems to a higher standard because, unlike humans, we see AVs as infinitely precise. That’s just one reason why we think it’s so important that @KodiakRobotics' technology performs above human levels of safety. Operating safely and building trust with the public is ultimately critical to making Kodiak and the AV industry as a whole, a success. We are continuing to develop, refine, and—most importantly—be transparent about how we can quantifiably demonstrate our technology is safe. It’s not only about consistently improving the Kodiak Driver, but about building trust in a new era of driving. The best way to understand this technology is to experience it firsthand. If you get the chance to ride in an autonomous vehicle, take it. Experiencing the technology directly is the best way to get a sense of its capabilities and safety, aiding in demystifying them. Seeing is believing, and we’re confident that the more people ride, the more trust we’ll build in autonomous vehicles and I think you will come to love them.

Class 8 trucks, Ford F-150s, and now tracked vehicles. The @KodiakRobotics Driver is hands down the world’s most adaptable self-driving system. In May we announced our collaboration with @TXTSystems : now, just four months later, we’ve outfit our first Textron Systems tracked vehicle with the Kodiak Driver. Textron Systems’ RIPSAW M3 was designed to be fully uncrewed, with no room for a human. Together, we’re working to keep service members out of harm’s way while forging the future of U.S. defense technology.

A big thank you to the @SAEIntl team for inviting me to give this year’s Buckendale lecture to such an amazing crowd of industry members! I’m honored to join the long list of industry leading presenters, dating back to when the series began in 1954. Of course, none of this would have been possible without this year’s Buckendale team: Melissa Jena, Mehdi Ahmadian, Giorgio Rizzoni, and Dan Williams. The self-driving industry must navigate a critical challenge - how do we definitively demonstrate the safety of our autonomous systems? @KodiakRobotics' approach to this problem is both systematic and innovative, synthesizing traditional and cutting-edge safety approaches. At the heart of our safety case is the probabilistic risk assessment. By meticulously modeling exposure, performance, and severity, we’re able to quantify the risk level of every scenario, and determine the overall safety of our autonomous vehicles. These models not only help us quantify our safety bar: they actively guide our engineering priorities and decision making. Through these tools, we can quantify our risk and ensure that the Kodiak Driver is at least as safe as a human driver.

To create high-fidelity simulations, you need data. To gather that data, you have to drive in the real world. To pressure-test your real-world driving, you need to have simulations. True autonomous driving isn’t about a single approach—it’s about combining all of these elements. By combining data from multiple domains, we learn more, faster, and can drive more places than any other player in the industry. @KodiakRobotics #selfdriving #AI

People often ask me for my top piece of advice for startup founders. My view is that the people you bring into your team are just as important as the technology you’re building. Assembling a diverse team of experts who bring different perspectives to the table is essential for the success of any company. The truth is, both tech and the trucking industry struggle to attract more female representation. This year, as part of @WomenInTrucking's annual photo competition, we wanted to highlight not only the women on our team but also the daughters of Kodiakers that we hope will follow in their parents’ footsteps to help make both tech and trucking more equal. Join me in casting a vote for @KodiakRobotics as we inspire the next generation of Women in Trucking!

If you don’t have a product that can be deployed and scaled, you don’t have a product. From the start, I knew @KodiakRobotics needed to provide more than just autonomous technology. It needed to provide real solutions for real trucking companies, and core to that is the Kodiak Driver’s modularity. In fact, its autonomous components are as easy to replace as tires or windshield wipers. The design of our SensorPods and compute allow us to quickly and easily replace different parts of the system without taking the entire truck offline, saving our partners both time and money. At Kodiak, we make everything modular from hardware to software, so it’s updatable, repairable, and deployable. It’s a real product.
