A lot of people are interested in Bittensor these days and I frequently am asked which subnets have the most promise. As a validator we are essentially an investor in the network so @CrucibleLabs thinks about this a lot. Here is our answer..for now.
Our goal is to be very intentional with the subnets we support. In order to add some structure to the way we allocate emissions, we've created a three tier subnet classification system inspired by venture capital frameworks: • Premier Subnets: Series A equivalent projects with established teams and proven track records of converting emissions into AI breakthroughs. • Emerging Subnets: Seed stage projects showing measurable improvement in their commodity quality, with working but evolving incentive mechanisms. • Seedling Subnets: Pre-seed equivalent projects, typically <1 month on mainnet, featuring talented teams with promising proof of concepts. We're constantly looking to reevalute subnets and add new ones to support!

I have partnered with @BitMindAI, a deepfake detection project built on Bittensor. The explosion of generative AI has led to a proportional explosion in deepfakes. All of a sudden it is everywhere. And while at times these can be comical, the consequences of deepfakes feels terrifying. Ken and the team at @BitMindAI have a novel approach to solving the problem, leveraging a mixture of experts model. By building on top of Bittensor, a promising decentralized AI project, the @BitMindAI team can leverage a community of miners, validators and a highly functional token reward system, reducing the cold start problem. The decentralized projects that I have the most conviction in are the ones that can only work if they are decentralized. The web is probably the best example. Bitcoin is another. These aren’t better because they are decentralized. They could not exist otherwise. Deepfake detection and the creation of a canonical source of truth, feels like another quintessential example. I am also excited to partner with @shibshib89 , one of Bittensor’s cofounders, on this venture. We look forward to working with Ken and the @BitMindAI team to help make their vision a reality.
