A big change is happening today! Each of our students has been given their own reusable water bottle, ahead of us stopping the sale of bottled water in our dining room - this will dramatically cut the amount of single-use plastic waste we generate.

Delighted that students from the Academy have been selected to represent MHA as flag bearers, responsible for waving the UEFA Champions League flag on the pitch prior to the televised Champions League fixture on Tuesday 27th November at 8.00pm, Manchester United v BSC Young Boys!
Awwwwwwww, how sweet! Science Teacher Miss Mullen brought her lovely puppy in today as a reward for Amber, who has worked so hard to improve her work ethic, and is excelling in her science lessons. Well done Amber!
Staff are still out delivering learning packs - the last box has gone out of the building, so by the end of the day we are hoping to have delivered, or attempted to deliver, a pack for every student. Phew!

The staff and students on our Poland trip have landed safely and are loading onto their coach. They are looking forward to a walking tour this evening😀
Very proud of Year 7 student Peter, who took part in the Swimathon yesterday, alongside his Dad and his older brother. He swam 2.5km (100 lengths of the Wythenshawe Forum pool) in just over 1 hour. Between them they raised over £350 for Cancer Research and Marie Curie! Well done!

It has been a morning of tears and laughter as we bid the

an emotional farewell. They have been a huge part of the Academy over the past five years and will be very much missed. Love and luck to each and every one❤️
Staff and students of Manchester Health Academy will be showing their respects to all the people affected by the Manchester Arena incident today with a one minute silence at 2.30pm. A drop-in service is available all day for any staff and students affected by the atrocity.

We bid a fond farewell to lunch assistant Christine, who retired today after 23 years of service. Christine, who joined our predecessor school in 1996, was given a round of applause by students at lunchtime, and presented with a gift by Principal, Mr Green. Happy retirement! ❤️👏

We’ve moved over to home learning for this week - we hope it is a positive experience for everyone trying teaching or learning over Teams for the first time.

Group 1 of the Year 8 Residential are now on the coaches and are en-route to Ghyll Head in the Lake District.
