@_Ugaaz Don’t forget that for the most part Muslims don’t want to raise arms to do da’wah while the missionaries weren’t afraid to do so. Papua was and still is an island full of warring tribes between each other. And also geography, Papua is denser and mountainous

@_Ugaaz Also the same reason why Dayak in the Malaysian part of Borneo are mostly Christians, while in Indonesia there is a big Islamized Dayak ethnicity that welcomed Islam like Banjar. While the Dayak is still heavily folk animist Christians the Banjar people are normative Muslims
