I’ve always thought the CDL could benefit from the Madden/ NHL/ NBA/ MLB approach:
- Load into game
- Be forced to pick a favorite team
- Lobby is themed with your favorite team colors/ roster/ schedule/ etc
it’s not too “in your face” with branding, yet increases awareness
