I made a quick Automation to protect my iPhone if someone steals it while unlocked: if they turn on Airplane Mode (Find My), it asks for a passcode. If wrong… it automatically locks the phone 🔒, turns ON all connectivity 📡 + Low Power Mode 🔋, and shares its current location📍
Time to bring this back AGAIN, but if you’re going to EDC or any festival and have an iPhone, turn off your control center access without Face ID or passcode so no one can put it into airplane mode to stop tracking, as well as make sure "find my network" is on🥰
Nice little

update: files now have favicons, and using Emoji in the file name automatically updates the default one, so it’s easier to navigate your tabs ✨
How to bypass the

macOS app waitlist:
1. Launch the app and login
2. Quit the app (cmd+Q) when the window size changes, but right before the login error alert shows up
3. Launch the app again and you're in
Simple but somehow ✨ it works ✨ – give it a try!

we made a new version that fixes the ‘Cancel’ exploit ✅, adds support dark mode 🌚 and takes a selfie of the theft 🤳 + shares it via email 📩 (thanks

As a European living in 🇺🇸 I find it very frustrating to see pre-tax $ prices everywhere, so I made a little Shortcut that calculates the total price on right-click. I use it *all the time*.

Hey
@appledsign
I'm glad you liked my shortcut, but if you're going to rip it off at least give me credit for what I spent time building and sharing openly. Do the right thing my dude.
@realjobcelis
Yeah that’s step one (mentioned it in the thread), but that only prevents people from accessing Control Center if your phone is already locked. This automation does it when it’s is unlocked.
@AnitaCruz13
Yep but then they can’t do anything with your phone. This automation is made in case someone gets your phone unlocked. Not a silver bullet just an additional security layer.
Don’t want to leave you hanging by a thread… but Twitter, you really outdid yourselves! Last week we had our largest usage day since February. There’s only ONE Twitter. You know it. I know it. 🎤

Now back to changing the world.
@Dexerto
bruh that’s triggered when you follow literally hundreds of people per minute, just like on IG. It prevents massive follows/bots.
It means the person who took the screenshot was thirsty for followers 😂
I’ve added some comments in the Shortcut so it’s easier to understand how each step works. I’m sorry I can’t answers all your questions, but I hope this helps.
@nikolaschmidt
The point is to avoid people from accessing your phone/data if they steal it while it’s unlocked. They can get the device but not access it.
Instagram, TikTok… my man even made a step-by-step youtube tutorial of my shortcut where he didn't bother to change the name of the shortcut or the text 😂

This is one of the proposals I liked the most, but it’s still a Twitter logo, not an X dot com. Elon is going all in with X.
@DotCSV
Crazy Larry David moment at the Nashville Airport when this security person didn’t want to let me fly bc “my passport was expired”, despite my attempts to explain date format outside the US is dd/mm/yy instead of mm/dd/yy. It took a supervisor to get her to “let it go this time”.
This looks exactly like the ESTA visa that every European has to get to travel to the US.
It seems like most visas can be filled online, should be instantaneous, and are valid for 3 years into Schengen. I honestly don’t see what the big deal is.
It's funny how I spent years trying every productivity app that would come out, and in the end what has worked best is the basic apple suite: Reminders, Calendar, and Notes. Simple feature set, snappy native apps, reliable syncing, and no gimmicks.

It gets the info (date, time, battery, weather, birthdays) dynamically from your current device/location and breaks it down so it's easy to digest for non-morning people like me.
The single habit that might have had the biggest impact in my WFH routine is going for a 30min walk in the morning, right after waking up. Not a run, not a workout, just a light walk. It wakes me up, clears my mind, and makes me feel accomplished early with minimal effort.
Focus on growth before retention is one of the biggest mistakes made by new startups. Don't try to acquire new users until you know how to keep them around.
A much simpler (but less powerful) alternative is just triggering Lock Screen when Airplane Mode is turned on. Again, there aren’t silver bullets and this is just an additional security layer to avoid people accessing your phone’s data/apps.
2 years ago TikTok had barely any competition. Today Reels is on track to become a bigger business than TikTok.
When people immediately discard new products like Thr3ads because it lacks some features at launch, they forget social apps is Meta’s bread and butter. It might take

Apps asking for location/notification permissions right after being downloaded, while still on the AppStore, without even opening the app first? Is this new and I missed it?!
I hope the multi-billion dollar partnership between OpenAI and Apple means that the Apple Watch will finally recognize that I’m standing while I'm using a standing desk.

Well we originally released an standalone app named Threads in 2019 so it’s not really new. Plus I bet this is bringing *a ton* of traffic to

and getting people to discover their amazing service (big fan)?
Ok Twitter do your thing. I have never seen a laptop with this screen size before. Pictures don’t do it justice but it looks absolutely huge like a 17” or even up to a 19” display. What laptop is this???

It’s bittersweet, but I’m very excited for what’s ahead. For now I’m going to take some time off to travel, recharge, and work on my own projects. I’ll be in New York, LA, Melbourne, Sydney, Berlin and London over the next few weeks - hit me up if you’re around! 🤗
