@GreenJennyJones Absolutely pitiful response! Here in #Herefordshire, Conservatives control the council despite gaining just 34.6% of the vote in 2023 local elections. Undemocratic by any measure. Blues and Reds playing exactly the same game.

A pitiful response from @UKLabour ! The least you can do if you think first past the post is a great idea is to have a decent argument! Here in #Herefordshire the Conservatives control the council, even though they received just 34.6% of the vote in 2023. This is not democracy!
The Government is planning to "reform" local government by abolishing many elections & reducing the number of local councillors. What we really need is to make councils more representative of voters by using #ProportionalRepresentation to elect them and ending "one party states"

@WoodlandTrust Very disappointing to see another respected organisation swept up in this reaction. This platform is the first stop for many of us - including journalists - to follow you. Instagram and tiktok are less insightful places. Green perspectives are needed here more than ever.

@soniasodha Thank you Sonia! How tired we all are of having "Far Right! Bigot! Phobe!" hurled at us simply for protecting our privacy, dignity and safety - thankfully wearing thin now. We still need time though to get over discovering how little respect some on the Left have for women.
