I came back too, yesterday. I paid 8000 for airport pick up and drop (4K each way) - Ertiga. It took 8 hours for me on 6th Feb from the airport and 4 hours yesterday to reach the airport. I will be forever indebted to my driver that he helped me to experience this once in a lifetime spiritual journey. I paid 2k per person to the kevat who took us to the Sangam. The effort to navigate the boat can never be measured in money. We pay a few thousand and think that we own the people helping us. Most of the service providers are overworked - they haven't eaten or slept propetly for days. My heart is full of gratitude for everyone who helped me to experience maha kumbh 🙏

Carry a sheet for makeshift privacy or plan for a natural air-dry situation. 6️⃣ If you can't walk much, prepare for a long journey – It can take 7-10 hours just to get from the airport to the Mahakumbh area. On the 5th Feb afternoon, I spent four hours stuck within a 700-meter stretch before the old Nainin bridge (Prayagraj airpot to Kumbh). Throughout this time, Google Maps kept fluctuating between 59 minutes and 1 hour 2 minutes to my destination—never changing. Had I not experienced it firsthand, I would have found it impossible to believe.

As per our scriptures, if the driver is over-charging or exploiting the pilgrims he would accumulate papa (sin or bad karma). But in all the other cases (including reasonable charge), he would still gather punya. If the service is free then he would accumulate maximum punya. तीर्थयात्रां कृतां येन तस्य पुण्यफलं सदा। यस्तु तीर्थगतं भृत्यं स पुनात्येव निश्चितम्॥ There are many references in Garuda purana, Skanda Purana and Mahabharata of what I have written above.

I was fortunate to experience this bliss too, but I wasn't able to visit my Aradhya Vir Hanuman ji's temple due to traffic restrictions owing to VIP movements. I am tempted to ask you @sanjeevsanyal Sir, If you used VIP privileges while doing this tirth, but will let it pass. My humble submission to all the VIPs due to whom thousands of common pilgrims aren't able to experience this once in a lifetime experience is as follows यः कश्चित्कर्मणां लोके स चास्मिन कृतकृत्यकृत् One who follows dharma properly should not seek unfair advantages but should act in accordance with righteousness.
