@skydotcs I asked them during my interview. They use imperative data structures or interface with C when they need the performance/latency. OCaml isn’t functional btw. It’s very easy to do mutation and you can do side effects without an IO monad.

Recently, I've been doing screen recordings frequently and found it quite tedious to minimize windows + delete Desktop icons just to do a 30s recording. So I made Stash - a free & simple macOS app to hide windows and desktop icons temporarily and restore them at a later time.

Managed to get floating notes to work in Apple Notes. It's actually just a web view of iCloud Notes. Works surprisingly well. Syncs with Notes pretty fast and supports checklists. Doesn't support dark mode though.

Day 74 of using dark mode: my mind, free of the constraint of being a 1X UI designer, is able to manipulate the space-time continuum. I have the ability to levitate, but only a few feet off the ground. I now possess the ability to push code directly to master.

I added templates to Apple Notes in ProNotes v0.7. Simply add all your repetitive snippets to a "Templates" folder, and you can insert them into any note with a slash command. Template variables like [@]now and [@]today are supported.

Formatting text w/ Apple Notes sucks because:. 1. The format button is far away at the top of the window. 2. The shortcuts are hard to remember / conflict. What if there was a conveniently placed toolbar above the selected text?. Coming soon.
