I can’t take a “bar for bar” rap fan seriously. I’m sorry I just can’t. There’s no real substance towards their preferences, bars are just a component toward a great lyricist, and it’s different if you show a preference towards it, but it being the only aspect you weigh is absurd

Think a core issue with the whole “religion and communism” discussion is that many people taking part in it are just using it as a proxy to either air out their own personal religious trauma or attempt to give some acceptable reasoning for what is ultimately latent Islamophobia.

I think the idea of ranking rappers based solely off their sales/popularity is asinine But at the same time, judging strictly off of “bar for bar” critiques is almost as ridiculous and we as a community need to find a happy medium for everything
